SUMMARY:Tween Book Club
DESCRIPTION:Join the Tagaloo Tween Book Club for a fun and exciting way to learn to appreciate youth fiction!  A licensed Virginia teacher will lead this book group which will focus on juvenile fiction for grades 5-8.  Plot\, summary\, and character development will be explored with discussion and activities to jump start the readers' critical thinking skills. After that a group discussion will take place facilitated by the tweens themselves. Must read at or above grade level and be able to discuss the book in depth with their peers. Book clubs help us explore literature we might not otherwise pick up!\n\nThe first selection to read for October 12 is:\n\nThe Great Cake Mystery: Precious Ramotswe's Very First Case by Alexander McCall Smith (96 pages\, available in hardcover\, paperback and electronic editions).\n\nFriday\, October 12\n4:00p.m. - 5:00p.m.\n$10.00\nIncludes light snack\nPlease bring your own water bottles and your thinking caps!\n\n(Space is limited.
