Creative Hands

   Minimize

Do you like to paint, draw and create? This class is for you and your Creative Hands! Every class will focus on creating art using different fun materials, while learning about how artists create and think about art. Students will have the opportunity to learn to draw things that they love and be able to explore clay and many styles of painting, including realism and abstraction.

Drawing

   Minimize

Everyone can draw we just need some practice! Students will learn the basics of drawing while looking at the style of several artists. Still-life, figure drawing, self portraiture and drawing from our imaginations will all take place while building our basic drawing skills.

**If you have taken a Drawing class before, you will learn something new.**

 All materials for this class are included with registration.

Art Smarts

   Minimize

The world of art is filled with millions of amazing artists. In this class students of all ages will meet 4 fun artists. Vincent Van Gogh, Wayne Thiebaud, Andy Warhol and Georgia O'Keeffe will be the inspiration for paintings, sculptures, printmaking and exploration with clay.

$70 - All materials for this class are included with registration.

Ceramics

Ceramics is designed for any skill level student who is interested in exploring clay. Over the course of the class, students will create several projects involving basic ceramic techniques. Students will learn about coil burning, pinch pots and additive and subtractive sculpture while creating a funny faced mug, vase, an animal bowl and a creature from their imagination. 

Please note, projects will not be repeated if a prior class has been taken.

Sculpting

Sculpture Around the World is designed for students of all skill levels who enjoy building things with their hands.  This class will explore some of the most basic building techniques used in sculpture throughout the world.  Ancient Greece, Tribal Africa and Modern America will be the focus for the art work created.  After a short art history lesson, students will go on to create a self portrait, an expressive animal and an unusual sea creature.
